Full-Service Resort & Entertainment Property
$140,000–$150,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Director of Facilities to oversee all engineering, maintenance, and property operations for a large-scale hospitality and entertainment destination.

This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a complex, high-volume property featuring thousands of guest rooms, multiple food & beverage outlets, extensive event space, entertainment venues, spa operations, and large public-use facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong full-service resort or casino experience, exceptional operational leadership, and a process-driven mindset.

Position Summary

The Director of Facilities will lead all aspects of engineering and property operations while ensuring safety, operational efficiency, preventive maintenance, regulatory compliance, and exceptional guest experience standards across the property.

This role requires a highly organized and extremely sharp leader capable of managing large teams, complex building systems, capital projects, and fast-paced resort operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, life safety systems, and grounds maintenance
  • Lead engineering and maintenance operations for a large-scale resort property
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs, emergency repairs, and work order systems
  • Conduct property inspections to ensure safety, operational efficiency, and facility appearance
  • Oversee renovations, capital projects, and contractor/vendor relationships
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, purchasing, and cost controls
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a large engineering and maintenance team
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire safety, lock-out/tag-out, and emergency response procedures
  • Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with executive leadership to support overall property performance and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of facilities or property engineering leadership experience in large-scale hospitality, casino, resort, or entertainment environments
  • Experience overseeing complex full-service properties with high guest volume
  • Proven leadership managing large engineering and maintenance teams
  • Strong experience with capital projects, preventive maintenance, and property operations
  • Six Sigma Certification strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
  • Valid driver’s license required
