Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to join our growing team. This inside sales position will support Program Managers and Business Development activities by coordinating customer quotations, managing pricing information, maintaining customer data, and ensuring successful communication between customers and internal departments. (The Ideal Candidate should come out of Automotive or Heavy Manufacturing)

Full Time $75-$95k

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and experience in manufacturing environments. We are also open to considering junior candidates with relevant education and a few years of professional experience who are eager to grow their careers.

Main Responsibilities:

· Manage and coordinate Requests for Quotation (RFQs), including logging opportunities, reviewing customer requirements, and ensuring timely submissions.

· Prepare customer quotations, pricing breakdowns, capital quotations, and internal cost sheets.

· Work closely with Engineering, Estimating, Program Management, Finance, and Operations teams to develop accurate commercial proposals.

· Conduct contract reviews to ensure pricing, terms, and conditions align with approved quotations.

· Monitor and maintain customer portals, e-commerce systems, and commercial databases.

· Manage quote capital submissions, including analysis, business case development, and supporting documentation.

· Track and drive closure of open commercial and financial issues.

· Maintain pricing, customer information, and sales forecasts within company systems.

· Coordinate customer visits and support customer-facing presentations.

· Prepare sales, commercial, and business development presentations.

· Read and interpret engineering bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing-related documentation.

· Support newly awarded programs by coordinating launch activities and communicating key requirements to internal teams.

· Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional service and responsiveness.

Required Qualifications:

· Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications.

· Experience preparing customer quotations and pricing proposals.

· Understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.

· Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

· Valid driver’s license.

· Engineering background or strong mechanical aptitude.

· Experience working with OEM customers.

· Previous experience in automotive manufacturing, Tier 1 suppliers, or related industries.

· Experience preparing cost walks and presenting pricing analyses to customers.

· Basic knowledge of cost accounting principles.

· Experience with ERP systems and pricing databases.

· Familiarity with customer portals and e-commerce systems.

· Previous sales, business development, or commercial experience within a manufacturing environment.
