MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing engineering, production support, process improvement, and cross-functional operational activities.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or junior-level engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, engineering operations, supplier coordination, and production support within a fast-paced clean-tech environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support day-to-day manufacturing activities, documentation, task tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manufacturing & Production Support

• Support day-to-day manufacturing and production engineering activities

• Assist with manufacturing documentation including work instructions, assembly procedures, inspection criteria, and test processes

• Support prototype, pilot, and production builds

• Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing and production issues

• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities

• Help improve manufacturing efficiency, documentation quality, and process consistency

Project & Task Coordination

• Track engineering and manufacturing tasks using work management systems such as Azure DevOps or Jira

• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and external suppliers

• Assist with engineering change implementation and documentation updates

• Maintain organized engineering and manufacturing records

• Support execution and follow-up of ongoing manufacturing projects and action items

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with hardware, software, manufacturing, testing, and operations teams

• Support communication and coordination between internal teams and manufacturing partners

• Assist with data collection, reporting, and issue tracking activities

• Participate in continuous improvement and operational support initiatives

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or expected graduation in one of the following disciplines:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Biomedical Engineering

Technical & Software Skills

• Familiarity with work management or ticketing systems such as Azure DevOps or Jira is required

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment

• Software development or programming background is considered an asset

• Experience with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Nice to Have

• Co-op, internship, academic project, or hands-on experience in manufacturing or engineering environments

• Exposure to electronics manufacturing, embedded systems, or hardware products
