Job description

Summary
The Sales Management Trainee actively participates in learning opportunities and activities that prepare the Trainee for the successful support and sale of our Commercial HVAC Electric Damper Actuators, Motorized Control Valves, and Sensors. The Trainee will develop product knowledge, establish connections with the company's resources, understand sales distribution channels, and become knowledgeable with the commercial HVAC industry. The Trainee needs to be ready to build relationships, leverage strong collaboration skills and be extremely self-motivated and self-confident. The Trainee must be results driven, customer focused, persuasive, and have a sincere interest in the technical aspects of HVAC systems. Towards the conclusion of the cumulative program, the Trainee will be assigned the role of District Sales Manager based on the skills and attributes demonstrated during the program. This role entails in-office work, remote and travel, as needed.

-Maintain ongoing development of product, application, and industry knowledge.
-Adapt to Belimo's sales approach, process, and culture driven by the importance of building relationships and offering solutions.
-Learn the functionality of lead generating tools supporting both sales and product management efforts.
-Prepare and deliver effective presentations and proposals on products, processes, and applications.
-During the course of the training program the trainee will be coached, mentored, and assigned various projects and tasks in order to adequately assess future placement within Belimo.
Who You Are
-B.S. degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
-Internship experience in the HVAC or related technical field preferred
-Geographic mobility required; Time will be spent in Danbury, CT & select Sales territories during the training program. When placed into a District Sales Manager role, the location(s) offered will be based upon the company's needs and priorities at that time, providing the District Sales Manager the greatest opportunity for success.
-Strong organizational, dynamic inter-personal, and negotiation skills are essential
-Effective communicator and presentation skills are a must
-Strong technical aptitude and problem solving ability with the desire to seek new knowledge
-Self-motivated with ability to structure your work schedule and work independently from a home office.
-MS Excel, MS Word, and other basic computer skills are necessary to manage your home office.

The base pay for this position ranges from $70,000 - $80,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 10% of an employee's annual base salary.
