Job description

Abbott Tool, Inc is currently seeking an individual that is highly motivated and has experience in Setup, Programing, and running of Haas VF2 CNC. A journeyman card is recommended but not needed. Our shop uses Mastercam to aid in programing machines. This is a day shift position from 6:30am to 3pm, with overtime and some Saturdays when needed.

There is Pre-Employment Drug Screen for all new hires.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Running of Manual, 2-Axiz, and CNC machinery, including the following:

Gathering all materials for job

Experience in programing MasterCam but not necessary

Setup and Programing of CNC equipment

Operate crane, if required.

Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.

Keeping working area, around their equipment clean and orderly

Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.

Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Required to have proper and accurate entry into the Job time and attendance system

Working with Apprentice's to help train them on setup and use of Haas 3-Axis

Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position

Work Relationships and Scope: Reports directly to the shop supervisor; Daily interaction with operations/operators employees.

Performance Expectations: Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability and Thoroughness of work performed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Position requires good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures. This position also requires knowledge of setup and programing CNC equipment.

Working Conditions: This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds is required.
