Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Application & Web Services, the Computer Programmer/Analyst is responsible for logical analysis, design, and modification of new and existing programs and applications.
Job Duties
โ€ข Perform logical analysis, design, and modification of new and existing programs and applications.
โ€ข Develop detailed program specifications and documentation
โ€ข Perform detailed program design, coding, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of batch and interactive systems.
โ€ข Train and assist faculty, staff, and students in the use of computer hardware and internal software.
โ€ข Monitor hardware, software, and database systems, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate staff.
โ€ข Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Two years of professional experience in programming and scripting utilizing medium- to large-scale computer systems
  • Two years of professional experience with advanced SQL

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
  • UNIX and/or Linux operating systems experience
  • Professional experience utilizing Java
  • Advanced proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Human Resources, Payroll, or Advancement data processing experience
  • Ellucian Banner experience
  • Oracle Fusion experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
โ€ข Technology Skills: MS Office skills, Word, Excel, Outlook; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems
โ€ข Strong communication skills with non-technical faculty, staff, and students.
