Atlantic Track is seeking a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer to join our growing team of professionals in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a full-time, direct, on-site opportunity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Programs, edits, and optimizes G-code to improve cycle time, quality, and tool life
  • Sets up CNC machines, fixtures, tooling, and work offsets for 1st run of new programs
  • Develops and maintains clear tool sheets, setup instructions, and program control documentation
  • Collaborates closely with Operators, Maintenance, and Engineering to resolve machining and process issues
  • Diagnoses and debugs machining problems, including tooling, material, and machine-related issues
  • Supports multi-setup workflows
  • Mentors junior staff and new teammates; assist with training and skill development as needed
  • Proposes and implements process, tooling, and procedural improvements
  • Communicates clearly and directly with teammates and leadership regarding risks, improvements, and opportunities
  • Supports production operations as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC milling machine experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience CNC programming
  • Strong understanding of 3-axis and multi-axis machines
  • Solid tooling knowledge, including:
    • Insert geometry
    • Cutter angles
    • Tool coatings
    • Feed and speed optimization for balancing cycle time and tool life
  • Experience with probing and multi-setup workflows
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven ability to debug programs, setups, and machining processes
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and its practical impact on machining strategy and inspection
  • Ability to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Fanuc-based, Haas controls, Siemens, and/or Heidenheim Controls
  • Experience with machining various metals including carbon steels, manganese steel, and heat-treated materials
  • Macro B programming, including conditional logic, looping, and parameterized toolpaths
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to lead process improvements from concept through shop-floor implementation
  • Experience standardizing and maintaining Mastercam-based Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) workflows, posts, and programming best practices
