Job description

Engineering Manager Lead Product Innovation and Engineering Excellence

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager to lead product development, engineering operations, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the successful execution of new product development and product enhancements throughout the entire product lifecycle, ensuring products meet customer, quality, regulatory, and business requirements.

The successful candidate will provide technical and strategic leadership while partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver innovative, high-quality products that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead product design, development, testing, and launch activities for new and existing products.
  • Direct engineering and R&D teams to achieve project objectives, quality standards, and business goals.
  • Oversee product design reviews, engineering documentation, CAD standards, and design guidelines.
  • Drive product innovation while improving manufacturability, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with Operations to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and support successful product launches.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to product quality, manufacturing issues, and customer concerns.
  • Manage capital projects from concept through implementation, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support supplier development, technical problem-solving, and customer-facing engineering activities.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in product design, manufacturing engineering, or production process engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Strong background in manufacturing environments and hands-on product development.
  • Experience with CAD design tools, GD&T, engineering drawings, and design standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Preferred
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience leading capital improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, DOE, 8D, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with CATIA or similar 3D CAD software.
