Design Hire is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead technical execution, guide product-focused engineering work, and support a growing operation. This role is a strong fit for someone who can balance hands-on problem-solving, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration in a production-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Lead and support an engineering team through design reviews, project priorities, technical decisions, and day-to-day execution.
โ€ข Partner with operations, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and overall product performance.
โ€ข Oversee engineering support for new and existing products from concept through release.
โ€ข Review technical documentation, drawings, models, and process-related requirements for accuracy and completeness.
โ€ข Help drive continuous improvement initiatives tied to cost, quality, timelines, and production capability.


Qualifications

โ€ข 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
โ€ข Prior management, team lead, or project leadership experience preferred.
โ€ข Strong background with machining processes, including milling centers.
โ€ข Experience with product development involving plastics, sheet metal, or related materials.
โ€ข Proficiency with 3D CAD tools.
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
โ€ข Ability to communicate clearly across engineering, operations, vendors, and leadership.
โ€ข Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
