Design Hire is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead technical execution, guide product-focused engineering work, and support a growing operation. This role is a strong fit for someone who can balance hands‑on problem-solving, team leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration in a production‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support an engineering team through design reviews, project priorities, technical decisions, and day‑to‑day execution.
  • Partner with operations, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and overall product performance.
  • Oversee engineering support for new and existing products from concept through release.
  • Review technical documentation, drawings, models, and process‑related requirements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Help drive continuous improvement initiatives tied to cost, quality, timelines, and production capability.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Prior management, team lead, or project leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong background with machining processes, including milling centers.
  • Experience with product development involving plastics, sheet metal, or related materials.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across engineering, operations, vendors, and leadership.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
