Job description

Program Director, Residential Services
Location: Peabody, MA / community-based residential sites
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, Full-time, 40 hours per week
Target Salary: 68,640-$70,720

Job Summary
Northeast Arc has been providing innovative residential services for nearly 50 years and is committed to providing individuals and their families with superior supports and services that increase independence and quality of life.
As a Program Director within the Residential Services division, you will serve as the daily leader of that commitment. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the assigned residence(s), including implementing agency policy and practice and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). You will fulfill programmatic responsibilities by providing quality living supports and supervision to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities and staff and ensure that the Northeast Arc Residential Division reflects the mission statement and vision of the agency.
This is a role for a grounded, experienced leader who brings both compassion and operational accountability, someone who understands that a well-run residence is more than a program, it is a home, and that the people who live there deserve nothing less than the highest quality of support and care.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the assigned residence(s), including implementing agency policy and practice and ensuring compliance with the statutory requirements of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
  • Fulfill programmatic responsibilities by providing quality living supports and supervision to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities and staff
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide direction to Assistant Program Directors and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • Foster an environment of respect, care, tolerance, and empowerment for both individuals served and the staff team
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills in day-to-day operations and in response to emergent situations
  • Ensure all required documentation, reporting, and compliance obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure that the Northeast Arc Residential Division reflects the mission statement and vision of the agency

Qualifications
  • BS/BA strongly preferred; HS Diploma/GED with minimum of three years prior experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities or within human services accepted
  • Minimum of three years prior experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities or within human services
  • Proven record of working with people with intellectual and physical disabilities
  • Demonstrated supervisory abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Must be able to work at a desk/computer in an office environment and physically be able to provide direct support to individuals in their homes.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for periods of time, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention as necessary and lift and/or transfer individuals.
  • First Aid, CPR, MAPs, Vehicle Safety, Human Rights and Fire Safety
  • Must successfully complete and pass all required background checks as a condition of employment
