Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to provide direct administrative and program support to various United States Marshals Service (USMS) divisions. The selected individual will perform a broad range of administrative and operational support functions requiring strong organizational abilities, communication skills, and attention to detail. This role involves more varied and challenging assignments that may require interpretation, independent judgment, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within team environments. The Administrative Support Specialist will support program goals through clerical, reporting, and project-based activities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in a fast-paced federal environment.

Administrative Support Specialist Tasks and Duties:
  • Prepare all types of written correspondence.
  • Participate in other program assistant and clerical duties as assigned.
  • Maintain reports and submit verbal, written, and numerical information from databases when required.
  • Develop and conduct special projects as assigned.
  • Work in groups and teams on special projects to accomplish program goals.
  • Maintain suspense systems for assigned branches, identifying past due items and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Prepare special reports on an as-needed basis.
  • Independently research issues and questions as assigned and provide results in a variety of formats.
  • Manage programs for district offices and headquarters accounts.
  • Monitor programs to ensure operations are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrate professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
Administrative Support Specialist Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background investigation.
  • Must have three years of specialized experience related to the duties described above.
  • Superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal employees as well as outside sources.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change.
  • Ability to embrace new systems and process enhancements.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
