Job Description

Position: Manager โ€“ Strategy & Transformation
Reports To: Director / Chief Strategy Officer
Location: Chicago, IL

Job Overview

Reveal is seeking a high-performing strategy professional to join its Strategy & Transformation team at a pivotal moment in the companyโ€™s growth. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise transformation, product strategy, and M&A execution within a private-equity-owned technology business.

From our downtown Chicago headquarters, you will partner closely with senior executives, functional leaders, product teams, and private equity sponsors to shape and deliver initiatives that materially impact enterprise value. You will work on mission-critical programs ranging from operating-model redesign and margin expansion to go-to-market transformation, product portfolio strategy, post-merger integration, and acquisition diligence.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone coming from a top-tier consulting firm, particularly Private Equity, Transformation, or Strategy practices โ€” who wants to build hands-on operator experience while retaining exposure to complex, C-suite-level problem solving and transactions.

This role follows a hybrid model (4 days in office, 1 day work from home) for candidates residing in Illinois. Candidates based outside of Illinois may be considered for a remote work arrangement.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support high-impact transformation programs across revenue growth, margin improvement, organizational design, and operational effectiveness
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts including annual and multi-year value creation roadmaps
  • Partner with product and commercial teams to support portfolio strategy, pricing/packaging analyses, and investment prioritization
  • Assist with M&A activities including commercial diligence, synergy analysis, post-merger integration planning, and carve-out support
  • Own portions of workstreamsโ€”from structured problem solving and data analytics to delivering insights and recommendations
  • Build robust financial models, business cases, and KPI dashboards to track performance and drive decision-making
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to translate strategy into actionable execution plans
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and materials for senior leadership and private equity stakeholders
  • Contribute to building internal transformation playbooks, frameworks, and best practices
  • Provide guidance and informal coaching to analysts or junior teammates as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team, department, and organizational goals.

Characteristics

  • Strong analytical, structured thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Clear and concise communication skills; able to craft compelling executive narratives
  • Action-oriented mindset with willingness to roll up sleeves and drive execution
  • Entrepreneurial mentality with interest in operating inside a PE-backed company
  • Ability to toggle between strategic insights and hands-on analysis
  • Collaborative working style with ability to influence across teams
  • Interest in growing into senior strategy, operations, or investing roles

Education & Experience

  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in top-tier management consulting, corporate strategy, transformation, or PE-backed environments
  • Experience supporting workstreams within transformation programs or for PE portfolio companies
  • Exposure to technology or SaaS business models is a strong plus
  • Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and business case development skills
  • Experience building executive-level presentations (e.g., board materials, strategy reviews)
Benefits and Perks including but not limited to:
  • 401k match program
  • Comprehensive health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and HSA/FSA)
  • Group Term Life Insurance and Voluntary Life Insurance option
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid vacation, sick, and personal days
  • FSA dependent care benefit
  • Childbirth recovery and bonding leave policies
  • Short and long-term disability benefits
  • Access to onsite gym and recreational area at our Chicago office
  • Friendly, collaborative, in-office work environment with ample opportunity for professional development.
Forโ€ฏIllinois-basedโ€ฏroles,โ€ฏtheโ€ฏbudgetedโ€ฏannualโ€ฏsalary range is $120,000 to $140,000.  Plus, participation in one of our bonus plans. Compensation for this role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidateโ€™s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.โ€ฏ Reveal offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes the Benefits and Perks set forth above.
