Job description

Job Title:  Program Specialist

Reports to:  AR Manager


The Program Specialist will ensure the policies, procedures and guidelines required for financial programs and grants offered through Carevide are being followed by Carevide staff and that program funds are being utilized according to the specific, current program manual. 

Each employee is expected to convey an attitude of support and respect for the Carevide Mission, Vision, Values, policies, clients, patients, and employees. The employee is required to follow all guidelines as presented in the Policy and Procedures Manual, including the Safety Orientation Handbook and Center Code of Conduct. The employee abides by Carevide’s Compliance Program requirements. He/She protects and maintains confidentiality and supports the direct and indirect service to our patients through team support and cooperation.


Duties

● Comprehend full understanding of all financial programs at Carevide ensuring current requirements are followed.

● Audit patient charts for accuracy and completion of required financial documents for Carevide’s programs

● Monitor patient renewal dates for programs & send appropriate reminders/documents to patients in a timely manner

● Review patient accounts for potential discounts and refunds as applicable

● Monitor weekly reports for Medicaid coverage and bill covered services.

● Obtain & document monthly member reports by payer

● Post patient and program payments to patient accounts.

● Answer phones within department and assist Manager and billing team with special duties/projects as requested.

  • Responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the AR Manager. 


Experience & Skills

● Knowledge and experience in computers especially Excel, Word

● Bilingual a plus

● Ability to multi-task, work with a team as well as alone and meet deadlines.

● Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize projects/tasks.

● Be receptive to change and a busy schedule.
