Job Title: Library Programs Office Assistant (Part-time)

Job Description:

The Library Programs Office Assistant at Enoch Pratt Free Library will support the Programs and Outreach team with essential office tasks, logistics, and supply coordination. This part-time position (20 hours per week) will be responsible for assisting with program preparation, tracking expenditures, managing supplies, and ensuring smooth daily operations across all library programs.


Responsibilities:

  • Attend and take notes at programming committee meetings (childrenโ€™s, young adult, and adult).
  • Prepare and track documents related to program expenditures (e.g., check requests, requisitions).
  • Coordinate program supply orders, including ordering, receiving, and distributing supplies.
  • Assist with program packaging and distribution for initiatives like Summer Break Baltimore, One Book Baltimore, Imagination Celebration, and Books for Me.
  • Submit programs to online community calendars.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets for supply orders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Two years of office support experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, reaching, and lifting moderately heavy items like boxes of books.
  • Preferred: Associateโ€™s degree and experience in a library, museum, or educational setting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
