Job description

The General Services Administration is interested in attracting the best talent for our diverse cadre of SES members from within GSA, the government and the private sector.  We have streamlined our recruitment process which will require you to submit an online resume (not-to-exceed 2 pages) to apply for this position.

Qualifications:

All applicants must meet the Mandatory Technical Competency and Executive Core Qualification requirements listed below to be eligible for consideration. Eligibility will be based on a clear demonstration that the applicant's training and experience are of the scope, quality and level of responsibility sufficient to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this executive position.
Note: Your 2-page resume must show possession of the Mandatory Technical Competencies (MTCs) and the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) listed below; please do not address the MTCs nor ECQs through submission of separate narrative responses- written narratives will not be reviewed for consideration.

MANDATORY TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience planning, managing, evaluating, and overseeing; high-profile, multi-million dollar real estate design and construction projects, ensuring they remain within scope and on budget.  Experience must include managing or overseeing a geographically dispersed portfolio with responsibilty for continually improving design and construction services across portfolio.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading, developing, planning, and facilitating a program office, sufficient enough to manage resources, customer satisfaction, and program improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience working with executive level colleagues, employees, customers, and other stakeholders, to identify, develop, and implement solutions, resolve conflict, and other issues related to the acquisition of construction services that have broad, strategic level impacts.n

EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ECQs):

4. Leading People - This core qualification involves the demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a group towards meeting the organization’s vision, mission and goals, and to drive a high-performance, high-accountability culture.  This includes, when necessary, the ability to lead people through change and to hold individuals accountable
5. Achieving Results- This core qualification involves the demonstrated ability to achieve both individual and organizational results, and to align results to stated goals from superiors.
