Job description

Office Furniture Specialist

Office Furniture Center is the Midwest’s largest provider of premium pre-owned, refurbished, and new office furniture. We help companies furnish offices quickly and cost-effectively while keeping thousands of pieces of furniture out of landfills each year.

We are growing and looking for a highly driven sales professional to manage inbound opportunities, develop client relationships, and close business across workplace, commercial office, and project-based furniture needs.

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, enjoys building relationships, and knows how to consistently follow up, manage multiple opportunities, and ask for the business.

What You’ll Do

 Sales & Client Management 

  • Manage inbound leads, showroom opportunities, and quote requests
  • Guide clients through the sales process from discovery to close
  • Build proposals, pricing, and furniture solutions based on client needs
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and pipeline activity through CRM and phone/email communication
  • Coordinate with design, operations, and project teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Build repeat business and long-term client relationships

Opportunity Management 

  • Prioritize and manage multiple active opportunities at once
  • Identify high-value opportunities and maintain momentum throughout the sales cycle
  • Maintain accurate CRM notes, follow-up schedules, and action items
  • Help improve sales processes, responsiveness, and client experience

Product & Industry Knowledge 

  • Learn office furniture products, space planning basics, and workplace solutions
  • Stay informed on workplace trends and client needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide practical and cost-effective recommendations

What We’re Looking For 

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up habits
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a sales-driven environment
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of opportunities
  • Sense of urgency and accountability
  • Experience in sales, account management, recruiting, hospitality, retail, or other client-facing roles preferred
  • Experience in commercial furniture or commercial interiors is a plus, but not required
  • CRM experience preferred
