Compensation will be based on, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, credentials, employment status, and work schedule

The Business Office Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Verifying daily Census
  2. Verify all billing and financial data for new admissions
  3. Medicare A & B Billing, Claims Corrections and Follow-up
  4. Managed Care , Claims Corrections and Follow-up
  5. Private Pay Billing and Collections. Medicaid Application Assistance
  6. Payment Processing, Reconciliation, and Reporting
  7. Account Adjustment and Reconciliation
  8. Accounts Receivable Month-end Closing
  9. Medicare Bad Debt Processing
  10. Accounts Receivable Monitoring and Analysis
  11. Refund Processing
  12. Management, Control and Reconciliation of the Residents Needs Account
  13. Financial Cycle Oversight: Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Payroll
  14. Staff Training and Professional Development
  15. Supervising of Assigned staff as Required (including Accounts Receivable Assistant, Human Resources, Accounts Payable Assistant, Payroll Assistant)

Position Requirements:

  • Accounting degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience
  • 5 years of health care revenue cycle management experience, preferably in the long-term care industry
  • Knowledge of health care billing requirements, accounts receivable management and financial applications
  • Strong communication, analytic, and writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities, and to work independently
