Job Description:
The Assistant Store Office Manager is responsible for accurately balancing all tills, pulling cash, cash deposits and the store safe when the Store Office Manager is not present. The Assistant Store Office Manager also assists with all cash office responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Balance each till and keep an accurate total of each till’s over/short for the day
  • Creating the Daily Accounting Report (DAR) efficiently and accurately.
  • Balancing the DAR daily. Following the company’s procedures for reporting DAR overages or shortages.
  • Verify and count all pulled cash for the deposit from the previous day’s sales. Prepare all deposits for the bank following the policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Balance lottery and utility kiosk funds daily.
  • Utilizing programs to investigate shortages, voids, refunds, and any other suspicious cashier activity.
  • Balancing the safe daily.
  • Maintaining compliance with the company’s AML policies and procedures as the Compliance Officer for the store.
  • Monitor front end service and call for additional front end help.
  • Maintaining a clean front end, which may include brining in shopping carts, cleaning bathrooms, and sweeping, facing, and working products back.
  • Managing Bissell rentals and returns.
  • Train new teammates on functions related to guest service and the front end.
  • Separate and print all reports, as well as file, transmit or send all necessary documents to the Support Center.
  • May be called upon to act as front end help, such as checking, carry out, and guest service.
  • May perform general office clerical functions as needed or requested by management including invoice processing, return check processing, punching in schedules, etc.
  • Will be required to open/close the store as needed.
  • Ensure the announcement TV near the time clock is on.
  • Order and maintain office supplies such as toner, paper, etc.
  • Help teammates remain compliant with store and Support Center functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
  • Grocery store setting. Inside work with variations in heat/cold/dust/humidity caused by the opening of store entrance doors. Some outside work required as needed.
Job Qualifications:
• Ability to operate a calculator
• You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at Woods Supermarket
