Job Summary:

Shermco Industries is seeking a skilled national account manager to oversee and manage client relationships on a national basis. This is a highly strategic role to help develop and grow accounts at the highest levels within an organization. In this role, you will act as the senior account representative for the company and work with our national clients and partners in Food & Beverage. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a regional or national account manager position selling electrical or engineering related services/PLC to F&B manufacturin OR we will consider experience working as a technical project or program manager within F&B with strong knowledge of electrical or power distribution. You must have a strategic mind-set, possess excellent interpersonal skills, confidence, and collaboration skills and the ability to lead a team of salespeople in managing accounts across the country. A top-notch national account manager will bring skills as a negotiator, problem solver, and thought-leader to the table.Ideally you will reside in Indianna or the Midwest (IL, IA, KS, MI, MN, NE, MO, OH). Travel is 50%.


  • Develop strategy to grow business long-term in manufacturing accounts (F&B, Metal, Steel, Glass)
  • Develop comprehensive Account plans with trackable metrics and KPIs
  • Creating and monitoring targets for the national sales department.
  • Building a trusting and professional relationship with clients.
  • Meeting with clients and account managers.
  • Ensuring that all accounts are looked after and maintained.
  • Supervising and managing regional salespeople in your department.
  • Following up on complaints and queries on behalf of clients.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, or business is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a regional or national account manager position selling electrical or engineering related services/PLC to the F&B indusdtry OR we will consider experience working as a technical project or program manager in the F&B ndustry with strong knowledge of electrical or power distribution. A sales background with a demonstrated history of sales performance.
