Restaurant Manager – Casual Dining (High-Volume)

Location:  Salem, IL
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $55,000–$75,000 annually (based on experience) + Performance Bonus

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead operations in a high-volume casual dining restaurant. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing a high-performing team, and achieving operational and financial goals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant operations.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop hourly team members and supervisors.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Drive sales growth while managing labor, food, beverage, and operating costs.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory, purchasing, and waste control.
  • Analyze financial reports, including P&L statements, and implement action plans to improve performance.
  • Create employee schedules that balance guest service needs with labor goals.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company standards and operating procedures.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a casual dining or full-service restaurant.
  • Experience managing high-volume restaurant operations.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Knowledge of labor management, food and beverage cost controls, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred

  • Experience with annual restaurant sales exceeding $2 million.
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
