Federal experience is not required. Experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or through Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for this position, you must meet the qualification requirements outlined below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To be minimally qualified for this position you must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level payband or GS grade in the normal line of progression. Specialized experience would include one year of substantive supervisory or program management experience at the GS-13 or GS-14 level or equivalent level manager or comparable management or leadership experiences outside of Federal service. To be qualifying for this position your experience should be sufficient to demonstrate:
Experience conducting operational research and analytical studies involving taxpayer populations, examination activities, compliance initiatives, industry trends, regulatory developments, or legislative changes; compiling findings, identifying emerging issues, and documenting recommendations for examination or compliance programs.
Experience developing, analyzing, or implementing examination workload plans, workload identification methods, examination selection criteria, staffing recommendations, or resource allocation plans based on compliance priorities and program requirements.
Experience planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring examination, compliance, research, or analytical projects; establishing project milestones, tracking project status, documenting issues and risks, and coordinating corrective actions required to meet established schedules and project requirements.
Experience evaluating examination programs, compliance activities, workload processes, operational procedures, or research results by analyzing program data, identifying trends or performance gaps, comparing results with established performance goals, and documenting recommended process improvements or corrective actions.
Experience preparing technical reports, analytical products, research summaries, or executive briefings that document study methods, findings, conclusions, and recommendations related to examination planning, compliance activities, workload processes, resource allocation, or program operations.
AND
You must also meet the following requirement(s):

  • TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT (TACA): By the closing date (or if this is an open continuous announcement, by the cut-off date) specified in this job announcement, current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment. For this requirement, a competitive appointment is one where you applied to and were appointed from an announcement open to "All US Citizens".
