The Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Manager drives operational excellence by identifying inefficient, manual, and spreadsheet-based workflows across the organization and leading initiatives to streamline, standardize, and automate them. Using Lean Six Sigma, and process automation principles, this role works closely with Supply Chain, Planning and Business Intelligence (BI) teams, along with Sales Operations, Finance, and IT/Data, to reduce manual effort, eliminate error-prone processes, provide clarity on roles and responsibilities across functions, and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and cycle time.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead process improvement projects using DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Facilitate value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks, non-value-added steps, and design future-state workflows
  • Assess processes across departments to identify manual, redundant workflows creating risk or delay
  • Partner with IT/Data and BI to automate manual workflows (RPA, workflow tools, system-based approvals)
  • Build business cases (cost/benefit, ROI) for automation initiatives and manage a portfolio of concurrent projects
  • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and handoffs across teams (RACI models) to eliminate confusion and accountability gaps
  • Clarify process ownership across departments when processes span multiple functions
  • Ensure every redesigned process has clearly assigned owners, approvers, and escalation points
  • Use DMAIC's Measure/Analyze phases to quantify performance and root causes before designing solutions
  • Partner with BI to build automated dashboards and self-service analytics that reduce manual reporting effort
  • Track KPIs tied to efficiency gains (hours saved, error rates, cycle time reduction)
  • Audit processes post-implementation (Control phase) to sustain improvements and prevent regression
  • Maintain SOPs, process maps, and value stream maps reflecting standardized, system-based workflows
  • Train and mentor staff on DMAIC, value stream mapping, and Lean Six Sigma tools; support belt certification programs
  • Drive change management to embed standardized, automated ways of working across the organization
  • Advise functional leaders on eliminating manual processes and driving system adoption
  • Partner with Data/ BI on reporting automation and data-driven prioritization of improvement opportunities
  • Present project outcomes and efficiency gains to senior leadership

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in continuous process improvement, operational excellence, or process automation
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Track record automating or standardizing manual, inefficient processes
  • Experience partnering with BI and other cross-functional teams
  • Experience with RACI frameworks and process automation/BI tools
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Industry-specific experience relevant to the hiring organization
