Job description

Job Summary:
Google is a leading technology company that builds products to create opportunities for everyone. As a Technical Program Manager at Google Public Sector, you will lead complex projects, ensuring successful deployment of Google Cloud solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the strategy and delivery of Department of Defense engagements, ensuring successful management of Google Cloud’s suite of products, including Cloud, Infrastructure, and AI.
• Partner with engineering, Go-to-Market teams, and partners to guarantee seamless product delivery and successful technology implementation.
• Navigate interactions across geographically dispersed teams, leveraging communication and investigative skills to execute mission-critical projects; this may include up to 20% travel and providing on-call phone/video support to promptly address customer needs.
• Lead cloud and air-gapped project delivery and technology reviews, applying rigorous technical judgment to build consensus and optimize infrastructure, application, and AI deployments.
• Provide a technical goal for customer engagements, guiding solution planning, evaluating data, and directing decision-making to ensure architectural direction.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in program management.
• 2 years of experience in compliance, information security, IT audit, or risk management in the U.S. Federal Government Assessment and Authorization process.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
Preferred:
• Certifications in Google Professional Cloud Architect and Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google Distributed Cloud, or Google Cloud’s AI offerings and technologies.
• Experience working within the Department of Defense or National Security sector.
• Knowledge of industry-standard project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Ability to adapt approaches based on project needs.
