What You Will Do:

As a Program Manager supporting Guidehouse's federal health clients, you will lead the delivery of one or more complex professional services engagements. You will work directly with clients to understand their priorities, coordinate the people and resources needed to meet those priorities, and ensure that work is completed on time and meets established quality standards. You will provide day-to-day leadership for a large, multidisciplinary team and maintain visibility into staffing, schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, contract requirements, and overall performance. This is a highly client-facing role for someone who excels at building trusted relationships, leading teams, and maintaining accountability in a fast-paced federal environment.

Specific Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of one or more federal health engagements, ensuring that work aligns with client priorities and contract requirements.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and develop trusted relationships across multiple organizational levels.

  • Lead a large, multidisciplinary team of professionals and establish clear expectations for performance, quality, accountability, and client service.

  • Work with clients to understand priorities, resource needs, position requirements, and expected timelines.

  • Develop and maintain program plans, staffing plans, schedules, milestones, deliverable trackers, performance measures, and status reports.

  • Monitor progress against timelines, milestones, and deliverable requirements and take action to keep work on schedule.

  • Establish and maintain quality management processes to ensure that services and deliverables are accurate, consistent, responsive, and aligned with client expectations.

  • Review program performance, identify risks and issues, and coordinate timely corrective actions.

  • Partner with recruiting and internal operations teams to support candidate identification, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and deployment.

  • Monitor staffing levels, vacancies, workforce transitions, workload distribution, utilization, funding, and other indicators of engagement performance.

  • Lead recurring client meetings, program reviews, workforce discussions, and performance briefings.

  • Provide direction, feedback, and coaching to project managers, task leads, and other team members.

  • Coordinate with Guidehouse leadership and contract, finance, recruiting, and human resources teams to support effective engagement delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, client requirements, and Guidehouse policies and procedures.

  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance service quality, workforce stability, responsiveness, and client satisfaction.

What You Will Need

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • TEN (10) or more years of professional experience supporting federal health agencies or programs.

What Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree in public health, public administration, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.

  • Project Management Professional certification or a comparable program or project management credential.

  • Experience leading complex projects, programs, workstreams, or client engagements.

  • Experience managing teams and coordinating work across multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Experience developing and managing project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, and performance measures.

  • Demonstrated ability to oversee the quality and timely completion of work.

  • Strong program and project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and organizational leadership.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience managing a federal contract or professional services engagement.

  • Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams, including teams of 25 or more personnel.

  • Experience serving as a primary client-facing lead for a government program, contract, or engagement.

  • Experience coordinating the recruitment, onboarding, deployment, and ongoing management of professional personnel.

  • Experience managing workforce-intensive, staff augmentation, or professional services engagements.

  • Knowledge of federal acquisition, contract administration, task order management, and performance reporting.

  • Experience managing contract staffing, utilization, funding, deliverables, and overall engagement performance.
