Job Description

SUMMARY

The Program Director, Workplace Advisory is responsible for planning, developing, delivering and reporting on the program of projects that will be assigned to team members. All projects to be delivered within scope, schedule, and budget according to BGIS as well as client procedural boundaries. This person will be responsible for Occupancy Planning projects, the implementation of Workplace Technologies (including reservation tools, BI insights, sensor programs) and other Workplace Solutions related projects. In addition, the Program Director is also accountable for direct supervision of all assigned project team members.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full involvement with recruiting talent.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching and guidance to all team members.
  • Objectively recommends compensation adjustments.
  • Manages all aspects of performance.
  • Utilizing and maximizing team skills with a focus on professional development.

Project Management

  • Manages the delivery of assigned Workplace Solutions-related projects from conception to completion such as: drawing & occupancy-related projects, implementation of Serraview, Reservation Systems, Sensor Programs and leveraging Change Management methodology to ensure project success.
  • Executes and/or manages feasibility analysis & development of programs.
  • Manages projects and programs in accordance with legal requirements and BGIS processes including scope, schedule, financial, reporting, document, communications, risk, environmental, procurement & contracting, commissioning, close out and moves management.
  • Manages project delivery teams ensuring assigned projects and/or programs are delivered within fees, cost, and service-level goals.

Client Relationship & Business Development

  • Effective and proactive communication with all relevant concerned parties including account team members, clients, contractors, and industry bodies (as required) to ensure client satisfaction and BGIS’s success.
  • Prepares and works with the client and Senior Director of Workplace Advisory to develop business cases for projects yet to be approved.
  • Actively seeks additional services work to be performed by BGIS to mutually benefit the client and BGIS.
  • In the development and delivery of workplace solutions projects, identify best in class processes, governance, communication, risk management, etc.
  • Continuously provides insight into how clients and project delivery team can be innovative with solutions.
  • Looking for operational and cost efficiencies for both client and BGIS.
  • Share learnings and best practices.

Reporting & Resource Management

  • Provides reporting required to support BGIS and Client needs with respect to program execution.
  • Analyzes resourcing, project status, overall financial status and key performance indicators for client reporting & continuous improvement of delivery.
  • Effectively develops, oversees, and manages the delivery of assigned programs of projects Ensures that program elements are properly assigned and resourced by project delivery teams. Actively tracks and manages program progress, striving to ensure that projects are started with adequate lead time to complete within client time parameters and to meet BGIS and team needs with respect to work loading and overall financial considerations.
  • Ensures proper and timely project and administrative-related reporting and systems inputs.
  • Oversees the development and delivery of annual capital plans, including setting milestone schedule and drives decision making for successful implementation.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Strong organizational, documentation and reporting skills.
  • University graduation or professional certification (e.g. Change Management).
  • More than five years up to ten years of relevant work experience.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Process & metrics interpretation, development & analysis skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Problem solving and conflict management skills.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with Workplace Solutions industry standards and regulations.
  • Software proficiencies related to the assignment – Float, MS Excel, Project, Outlook; AutoCAD; etc.
  • Specific experience and skills related to Workplace Strategy, Workplace Technologies, Change Management and Drawing & Occupancy is an asset.
  • English is required because you will be dealing with English-speaking customers as part of your job.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Project Management Accreditation.
  • Change Management (Prosci or other recognized accreditation) preferred
  • Valid driver’s license.

This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $110,770 - 138,463 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education, professional designations and performance related to this role.
