Job Summary:The Assistant Program Managerisa full-time, exempt position (40 hoursper week).The work schedule is developed with the Program Manager of the residences and direct service personnel to ensure adequate coverage for the residents.Some daytime hours are dedicated to handling administrative tasks, supervising residents who may not attend work,attendingstaff meetings, oraccompanyingresidents to appointments. Schedules may vary based onresidents'needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct, supervise, implement, and evaluate residential programs under the supervision of the Program Manager and Residential Director.

  • Provide direct care and supervision of all residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and active participation in daily activities.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the home, promoting respect, dignity, and independence for all residents.

  • Ensure that staffmaintainhigh standardsof care, treatment, and active engagement with residents.

  • Be flexible and responsive to individual residents' needs, adjusting schedules and activities as needed.

  • Handle the administrative affairs of the residence, including attending and coordinating staff meetings, scheduling appointments, and ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures.

  • Act as a point of contact for residents' families, addressing concerns and ensuring clear communicationregardingresidents' care and progress.

  • A relevant BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.

  • At least one year of full-time employment in a residential program or related field with supervisory responsibilities.

  • Two years of work experience in developmental disabilities may be substituted for each year of required education beyond high school.
