Job description

The starting rate for the position is $31.09 per hour but may go up based on experience.


The Data and Analytics Specialist is responsible for developing and generating reports and analytics using selected software applications and developed reporting tools. The specialist supports the exchange of data, both inbound and outbound, with external partners. In addition, the specialist supports data integrity activities, including audits of reports, analytics, and source data. The specialist actively participates in quality improvement activities.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  1. Updates existing reports and analytics as new source data is available
  2. Participates and assists in the development of new reports and analytics
  3. Executes activities in support of exchange of data, both inbound and outbound
  4. Supports internal and external data integrity activities, including audits
  5. Provides internal team with first level support for reporting and analytics
  6. Provides health center teams with first level support for reporting and analytics
  7. Establishes and maintains functional relationships with external technology partners, in support of MPCA goals and initiatives
  8. Other duties as assigned



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • SQL Server database management
  • Healthcare concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Healthcare clinical and billing data
  • Healthcare payor data, including membership, quality measures and claims data
  • Electronic Medical Records systems and data
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis on Excel and Power Point
  • Population health software, preferably Azara DRVS
  • Data visualization, preferably Microsoft Power BI
  • Healthcare quality improvement concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Data integrity activities such as reconciliation and validation
  • FQHC reporting requirements (preferred)

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, computer science or a related field, or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • Experience in healthcare data reporting and analytics required
  • Minimum of three years of experience with clinical, operational, or financial information in a healthcare setting required
