Collins Aerospace is actively seeking a Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls. This position contributes to a team of intermediate to experienced Financial Planning and Analysis professionals, meeting objectives and working with team members on financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts. Responsible for preparation of forecasts and performance of financial modeling to develop recommendations for management.
This position will be working onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA.
What You Will Do
  • Provide effective financial administrative planning and control on large/challenging development programs.
  • Develop program Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) for earned value / project management purposes
  • Establish a Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS) and CWBS Dictionary
  • Perform analysis of program cost and schedule performance, identifying trends, and providing information to Project Leadership Team for corrective action implementation.
  • Preparation and analysis of Estimates at Complete (EACs) and complete financial support to assigned program teams.
  • Incorporate regular status and ETC updates based on inputs from CAMs.
  • Lead program teams through month end process
  • Support Program Management in assessing program risks and opportunities
  • Support Program Management in preparation of monthly sales forecasts
  • Provide Earned Value training to program teams
  • Accommodate unexpected events, achieve critical deadlines with quality results and perform as a flexible team member in support of the objectives and initiatives of Mission Systems

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including extensive experience in Excel

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
