Job description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support critical initiatives for our client located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This Long-term Contract position focuses on guiding technology and finance-related efforts, strengthening vendor and procurement activities, and delivering clear reporting for leadership teams. The role calls for someone who can balance project oversight with business analysis, work effectively across departments, and keep complex priorities moving forward with precision.


Responsibilities:

• Direct project activities from planning through execution and rollout, ensuring timelines, scope, and outcomes remain aligned with business goals.

• Administer vendor and supplier agreements related to technology services and purchases, maintaining visibility into terms, performance, and renewal needs.

• Coordinate solicitation and evaluation activities for technology purchasing initiatives, including documentation, stakeholder input, and vendor review processes.

• Gather, assess, and translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable plans in partnership with IT, Finance, Procurement, and operational teams.

• Produce clear status reports, summaries, and presentation materials for executives to support decision-making and program visibility.

• Monitor milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and potential risks, and take proactive steps to keep workstreams on track.

• Review spending patterns, contract adherence, and supplier results to identify trends, concerns, and opportunities for better value.

• Lead meetings with internal teams and external partners to drive progress, resolve issues, and maintain accountability across initiatives.

• Recommend process enhancements that improve efficiency, strengthen coordination, and support strategic objectives.

• Contribute to additional high-priority assignments and cross-functional initiatives as directed by technology and finance leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in project management, business analysis, or a closely related function.
• Background managing projects that involve multiple departments and a variety of stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of supplier contracts, procurement practices, and technology purchasing agreements.
• Strong analytical ability with advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, formulas, and data interpretation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to build executive-ready presentations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting information to leadership, business teams, and vendors.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines, stay highly organized, and maintain close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
