Program Management Graduate Rotation Program

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineered parts for the global aerospace and defense industries, is recruiting for its 2026 Program Management Graduate Rotation Program. This structured two-year program is designed to launch your career by providing hands-on experience across multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) while working onsite at our Chatsworth, California facility.

You will rotate through Electrical, Mechanical, Purchase Complete, and MRO (Repairs) business units, gaining exposure to customer relationship management, operational execution, business performance, financial analysis, and cross-functional leadership. Throughout the program, you will partner with experienced Program Managers, complete structured training, and lead meaningful projects that directly impact the business while preparing for a future career in Program Management.

Key Responsibilities

Rotation 1: Electrical Business Unit (6 Months)

  • Support Program Managers with backlog management, production priorities, and customer commitments.
  • Assist with revenue tracking, shipment pacing, and operational reporting.
  • Participate in customer recovery activities and cross-functional planning meetings.
  • Develop an understanding of product lifecycles, manufacturing operations, and business performance.
  • Complete a project focused on backlog visibility, revenue tracking, or operational performance improvement.

Rotation 2: Mechanical Business Unit (6 Months)

  • Support execution of Mechanical product lines by monitoring capacity, backlog health, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production challenges.
  • Assist with operational reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop knowledge of margin management, customer priorities, and business execution.
  • Lead a workstream focused on improving operational performance or reducing past due orders.

Rotation 3: Purchase Complete Business Unit (6 Months)

  • Support externally sourced product lines and supplier-driven programs.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to monitor supplier performance and material availability.
  • Assist with forecasting, customer commitments, and revenue planning.
  • Analyze supplier constraints and participate in recovery planning activities.
  • Complete a project focused on supplier performance, forecast accuracy, or customer delivery improvements.

Rotation 4: MRO (Repairs) Business Unit (6 Months)

  • Support repair program execution from order intake through customer delivery.
  • Monitor turnaround times, operational performance, and customer service metrics.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Customer Service to improve repair performance.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and recommend process improvements.
  • Lead a capstone project focused on improving business performance and present recommendations to senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or final-year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a structured rotational development program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co-op experience in aerospace, manufacturing, operations, project management, or business operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel or Power BI.
  • Demonstrated interest in aerospace manufacturing, business operations, and program management.

Program Highlights

  • Structured two-year rotational program across four Integrated Product Teams.
  • Executive sponsor and dedicated functional mentor for each rotation.
  • Exposure to customer relationship management, business operations, financial performance, and cross-functional leadership.
