Job Description
Under the limited direction of Manager PMO, the Program Manager is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple projects either within a specific client account or software product group (i.e. the program).
- Effectively manage the project in order to deliver on time, on budget and according to project scope and client quality expectations
- Develop a high-level milestone plan using goals and objectives of the project in order to align project with expectations of sponsors and stakeholders
- Execute project plan (quality, risk, communications, staffing etc.) by using the tools identified in the planning phase and by auditing the results of their use in order to align the project outcomes with stakeholder expectations and standards
- Negotiate changes with clients on behalf of the project and manage project change in accordance with the change management process in order to control scope, quality, schedule cost and contracts
- Address project issues by identifying and selecting a course of action by taking into account the project constraints and objectives in order to enable continued project progress
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science or Engineering
- PMP Certification preferred
- Near completion of Program Management Professional certification or equivalent
Additional Information
- A minimum of 10+ years' experience in managing complex projects
- Experience working in an information technology consulting company and/or in one or more of the industries that client serves
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Sound knowledge of project management concepts and tools
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of internal controls and financial management
