Job description

Job Title: PMO Manager
Location: Edmonton, AB
Note: Prior experience in BFSI, Public Sector, or Healthcare is non-negotiable.

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced PMO Manager with a strong background in BFSI, Public Sector, or Healthcare environments. The ideal candidate will oversee project governance, portfolio reporting, and PMO operations while supporting enterprise project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage PMO processes, governance standards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Support project portfolio planning and prioritization activities.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain project management standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate project status reporting and executive dashboards.
  • Support enterprise transformation and modernization programs.
  • Facilitate governance meetings and portfolio reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement across PMO operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a PMO Manager in BFSI, Public Sector, or Healthcare environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project governance and portfolio management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise project delivery frameworks.
  • Strong reporting, analytics, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing PMO processes and standards.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience with project portfolio management tools.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
