We are seeking an Associate Director, Metrology to join IQVIA Laboratories.

Job Summary:

The Director, Metrology provides global leadership for laboratory instrumentation and metrology programs across IQVIA Laboratories, ensuring compliance, operational readiness, and scalability to support business growth. This role partners crossfunctionally and with executive leadership to drive strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement across a global laboratory footprint.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead and oversee global metrology operations across approximately 17 IQVIA laboratory sites, including Central Labs and Specialty Labs

  • Develop and execute departmental strategy aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and longterm growth

  • Establish goals, metrics, and performance expectations for a global team, driving accountability and operational excellence

  • Ensure effective resourcing, prioritization, and workload management across regions and sites

  • Provide oversight of equipment lifecycle management, preventative maintenance, calibration, and compliance programs using enterprise asset systems

  • Serve as an escalation point for quality, safety, and operational issues, ensuring timely CAPA resolution and root cause analysis

  • Partner crossfunctionally to evaluate, select, and implement new instrumentation, technologies, and vendor solutions

  • Drive global harmonization, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations

What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Extensive experience overseeing complex laboratory instrumentation and metrology programs within regulated environments

  • Strong working knowledge of laboratory equipment compliance, preventative maintenance programs, and regulatory standards

  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

  • Proven ability to lead and influence global, crossfunctional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Strong financial, operational, and strategic planning skills, including budget development and cost optimization

Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
