Position Overview
As the School Director, you will lead the daily operations of the school while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality educational experience for both children and staff. You will be responsible for upholding our proprietary play-based curriculum, managing the schools operations, promoting staff development, and maintaining positive relationships with parents and the broader community. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned leader with a passion for early childhood education and a proven track record in school leadership.
Responsibilities

Leadership and Staff Development:
Lead a team of educators by providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
Inspire and motivate staff, creating a positive and collaborative school culture.
Conduct regular performance evaluations to support staff growth and success.
Educational Excellence:
Implement our proprietary curriculum to create a developmentally appropriate and engaging learning environment for children.
Ensure classrooms meet the highest standards for safety, cleanliness, and educational quality, adhering to our school's policies and Missouri state regulations.
Operational Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the school, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements, health, and safety standards.
Manage the schools financial health, including budget development, tuition tracking, and operational expenses.
Maintain accurate documentation for student and staff records in compliance with licensing and the school's policies.
Family and Community Engagement:
Build strong relationships with families, ensuring open communication regarding their child's progress and school activities.
Foster a sense of community by organizing school events, family involvement activities, and outreach initiatives.
Enrollment and Growth:
Lead efforts to grow student enrollment, conduct tours, and promote the benefits of our curriculum.
Develop strategies to retain qualified staff and build lasting relationships with families.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure full compliance with Missouri state licensing regulations, our schools standards, accreditation, and all local laws.
Oversee regular audits and inspections to ensure that the school maintains high educational and operational standards.
Qualifications

Education:
A Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
An existing Director's licence.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven experience in school operations, financial management, and staff development.
Knowledge of licensing and regulatory compliance for early childhood education programs.
Skills:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide educators.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to interact effectively with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage day-to-day operations and ensure the schools success.
Proficiency in childcare management software (experience with ProCare is a plus).
