To thrive as a Program Integrator, you need expertise in project management, systems integration, and a relevant bachelor's degree, often in engineering, business, or a related field. Familiarity with project management software (such as MS Project or Jira), process mapping tools, and certifications like PMP or Six Sigma are commonly required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills help ensure alignment and collaboration across teams. These abilities are essential for coordinating complex projects, minimizing integration risks, and delivering successful program outcomes.

How does a Program Integrator typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success?

Program Integrators play a key role in bridging communication between engineering, project management, and other functional teams. They coordinate schedules, track progress, and facilitate the resolution of issues that could impact project timelines or goals. This role often requires regular meetings, status updates, and the creation of clear documentation to ensure all stakeholders are aligned. Effective Program Integrators foster a collaborative environment by anticipating potential roadblocks and proactively engaging the right experts to address them.

What is a Program Integrator?

Program Integrators often work in industries like defense, aerospace, and technology, where complex projects require careful synchronization of resources, schedules, and technical requirements. Their goal is to ensure the program meets its objectives on time and within budget.

Job description

RWE Americas, LLC
To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent
Functional area: Business Development
Remuneration: Exempt

Who is RWE? RWE is a global energy company and one of the world's leading renewable energy companies with the goal of investing billions of dollars in the U.S. in the next decade.

We are expanding our Business Development team to serve the growing demand for energy from large load customers in the United States. This includes originating and developing sites for data center load customers and combining gas-fired power generation with our core business of power generation through solar, wind, and battery storage. RWE develops, owns, and operates all generation assets, while taking care of development steps only for the data center site, including land, electrical interconnection, utilities and permits, thereby accelerating the customers' speed to interconnection and power.

The Energy Campus Development team is accountable for designing and operating the product and delivery model for RWE's Energy Campus programs, integrating flexible generation, renewables, and enabling infrastructure into a single coordinated product offering and program construct.

The Program Director, Energy Campus, is accountable for designing and operating the delivery model for RWE's Energy Campus programs. The Program Director works alongside Project Managers but retains ownership of program-level integration, sequencing governance, and risk management for these highly visible initiatives.

If you're excited about helping RWE to expand its portfolio to serve new market needs, we look forward to speaking with you.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Program Design & Governance:
    • Design, own, and continuously refine a repeatable Energy Campus delivery framework from early concept through execution handoff
    • Establish and run program governance (decision gates, escalation paths, reporting cadence) for a multiproject, multitechnology Energy Campus portfolio
  • Program Integration & Delivery:
    • Lead programlevel integration of schedules, interdependencies, and risk across flexible generation, renewables, and enabling infrastructure
    • Coordinate and steer multiple Project Managers and workstream leads while maintaining clear accountability boundaries between program and projects
    • Provide concise, decisionoriented status, risk, and issue reporting to SVP/Csuite, enabling timely portfolio and capital allocation decisions
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as the programlevel interface across key corporate functions such as Development, Engineering, Execution, Commercial/Origination, Transmission/Interconnection, Asset Management
    • Apply RWE's global program and capital delivery experience to sharpen delivery models, standardize tools/templates, and drive continuous improvement for Energy Campus initiatives
    • Represent the Energy Campus program in highimpact internal and external forums (e.g., key customer interactions, utilities, grid operators, strategic partners) as delegated by the SVP

Job Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, Economics, or a related technical field
  • Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MS in Engineering, Energy, or Infrastructure)
  • Formal program, project, or product management training or certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, CPM, agile) is a plus
  • Minimum 11 years leading large, complex infrastructure or energy programs with multiple concurrent projects and workstreams
  • Proven track record integrating and executing multi-project, multi technology portfolios
  • Knowledge & Application:
    • Expert at structuring and leading large, multi-project programs
    • Designs and runs stagegates, steering committees, and escalation processe
  • Complexity & Problem Solving:
    • Identifies crossproject risks, evaluates systemic impacts, and drives mitigation and contingency planning via structured frameworks and metrics
    • Distill complexity into concise, actionable insights for senior stakeholders; institutionalizes lessons learned and best practices
  • Collaboration & Interaction:
    • Aligns development, engineering, execution, commercial, finance, legal/regulatory, and HSSE teams around clear program objectives and priorities
    • Leads interactions with large external counterparties and partners (hyperscale's, industry consortia, JVs, etc.)
    • Manages conflicting views under uncertainty
  • This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWE office and field locations
