RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end data acquisition and integration operations across 450+ healthcare facilities, covering new facility startups, EMR transitions, data feed expansions, and ongoing production support.
  • Engage directly with client leadership, business development, and business operations leadership teams to communicate status, align priorities, and ensure data acquisition activities support organizational and client commitments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new technical initiatives requiring Data Acquisition involvement, including discovery, intake, requirements gathering, scope definition, and implementation planning.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight to the Data Acquisition Engineering team, including mentoring, cross-training, workload management, and performance development.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Operations, Engineering, Data Intelligence, vendors, and client stakeholders to deliver integrations on time and within scope.
  • Oversee HL7, FHIR, API, and flat-file integration workflows, translating business and operational requirements into actionable implementation plans and technical deliverables.
  • Manage vendor and external partner relationships to support data feed reliability, issue resolution, and new integration delivery across a large and distributed facility footprint.
  • Own production support operations, including issue prioritization, escalation management, troubleshooting coordination, and cross-team communication during production-impacting events.
  • Establish and maintain SOPs, implementation standards, support playbooks, and knowledge management materials to improve consistency, reduce dependency on tribal knowledge, and support team continuity.
  • Monitor delivery performance, support volumes, and integration health to identify risks, recurring issues, and process improvement opportunities; provide regular status reporting to senior leadership.
  • Drive operational maturity initiatives including workflow optimization, intake quality improvement, monitoring and observability capabilities, and long-term scalability of the Data Acquisition function.
  • Support validation planning and operational readiness activities for new implementations, system transitions, enhancements, and production changes.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Coursework or training in healthcare IT, project management, or data-related disciplines preferred.
  • Continued professional development in product or program management, healthcare data interoperability, leadership, or operational excellence preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare technology, healthcare data, integrations, interoperability, implementation delivery, or related data operations functions.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience coordinating or leading cross-functional initiatives, implementations, operational support workflows, or technical delivery efforts.
  • Experience managing high-volume or multi-source healthcare data integration environments, ideally across a large number of facilities, sites, or external partners.
  • Demonstrated experience with healthcare data integration methods and formats including HL7, FHIR, APIs, flat files, and related interoperability workflows and exchange standards.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, healthcare source systems, interface teams, vendors, analytics consumers, and downstream reporting stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of implementation lifecycles, production support processes, issue triage, validation coordination, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to translate business and operational requirements into clear technical context, implementation plans, and actionable delivery steps.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level summaries, stakeholder updates, requirements documentation, and process materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, drive alignment across teams, and move work forward without always having direct authority over all contributors.
  • Experience developing SOPs, implementation templates, support playbooks, and knowledge management materials.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering growth in operational leadership, technical ownership, and cross-functional accountability.
  • Experience with ticketing, documentation, project management, or workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, MOVEit, OnBase, Mirth, Firely, or similar platforms preferred.
