Advantest is seeking a Director, Engineering Excellence Center within the V93K SoC Test Supply Chain Organization to lead teams focused on data analytics & metrology, engineering process development, program management, and PCBA technologies.
In this strategic leadership role, you will establish standardized ways of working, KPIs, governance frameworks, and harmonized toolchains that enable scalable, quality-focused and data-driven execution across Product Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D and suppliers. You will drive organizational excellence by creating common processes, clear interfaces, and aligned requirements that reduce dependency on individual expertise, accelerate onboarding, and improve global execution consistency. One focus area will be to provide leadership guidance for major cross-functional programs that deliver breakthrough improvements in product quality, cost of poor quality, and operational efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establish and govern technical excellence, data-driven engineering frameworks, standardized processes, KPIs, and operating models across Product Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D, Suppliers, and customer-facing functions to improve organizational effectiveness, scalability, and product performance.
  • Lead and sponsor complex, high-impact cross-functional programs across global organizations, ensuring alignment, governance, and successful delivery of breakthrough business outcomes within Operations.
  • Drive problem-solving and quality management methodologies that deliver sustainable breakthrough improvements in product quality, quality cost, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build organizational capabilities through the continuous development of Product Engineering teams and Contract Manufacturers in advanced analytics, statistical methods, process optimization, and modern engineering practices, enabling fact-based decision making and scalable execution.
  • Establish governance frameworks for supplier performance management while strengthening PCB/PCA Design-for-Manufacturing, Design-for-Testability, and quality control methodologies across the supply chain.
  • Establish and govern measurement standards, calibration and traceability as an integral part of product & manufacturing control
  • Ensure strategic internal alignment with stakeholder functions and set clear objectives, priorities, and accountability within the team and your team managers.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience in engineering or operations environment
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional programs, NPI initiatives, or business transformations.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across R&D, Supply Chain, IT, and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, data analytics, quality systems, and KPI-driven performance management for V93k.
  • Experience establishing standardized processes, governance frameworks, and scalable operating models.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor products, electronics manufacturing, supplier management, and SoC markets.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement, problem-solving, and organizational capability development.
