Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Program Manager to lead and oversee a team of technical professionals providing support for cloud infrastructure at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Cloud Strategy, Cloud Migration Assessments and Roadmap, Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services ensuring alignment with industry trends and best practices for technical and business process optimization.
  • Deliver comprehensive program management services for planning, managing, implementing, and executing all efforts under the Task Order.
  • Act as the primary interface between the Contractor and AIT.
  • Coordinate with cloud stakeholders to facilitate the onboarding of new customers, provide recommendations for successful implementation of customer cloud solutions, and advocate for cloud adoption across all FAA lines of business.
  • Ensure alignment with business strategies through governance structures, quality assurance, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Drive performance improvements and capability enhancements by integrating emerging IT solutions and strategies.
  • Define and manage resources and schedules to ensure timely and efficient program implementation and delivery of project milestones.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, while proactively addressing and resolving project and program issues to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Champion the implementation of cloud services across the FAA Enterprise.
  • Evaluate current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for automation to drive efficiency and cost avoidance.
Qualifications

10+ years experience including at least 5 years experience providing technical/management leadership on cloud-based programs.  Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or Business Administration; Master's degree preferred.  Must be PMP certified.  PgMP certification desired.  Experience supporting Federal government programs.  Able to demonstrate effective thought leadership and strategic planning skills as well as facilitate communication and collaboration to enhance service efficiency and resolve issues effectively.  Able to solve problems through systematic analysis of processes.  Able to manage large amounts of complex information and prioritize and manage actions to meet deadlines and requirements in a high volume, high stress environment.  Comfortable with MS Office, MS365, SharePoint, MS Project, and Adobe.  Able to demonstrate strong customer service, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.  Must be a US citizen.
