Job description

Lead Program Scheduler - Onsite Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Program Scheduler to join our growing team in Santa Clarita, CA.
As the Lead Program Scheduler, you will play a critical role in the planning, development, and execution of complex defense and aerospace programs. You will own and maintain integrated master schedules, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide schedule analysis that enables informed business decisions. Working closely with Program Managers, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, you will ensure program milestones, resource planning, and customer commitments are effectively managed throughout the program lifecycle.
Location: Santa Clarita, CA (Onsite)
Salary Range: 94,700 - 126,300 per year plus bonus.

Your Challenge:
  • Develop, maintain, and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for multiple defense and aerospace development and production programs.
  • Partner with Program Managers and functional teams to define project scope, work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Monitor schedule performance, identify critical path activities, analyze schedule impacts, and recommend recovery plans to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare schedule metrics, variance analysis, and executive-level reports to support program reviews and customer meetings.
  • Ensure schedule integrity by maintaining accurate logic, resource loading, milestone tracking, and baseline management.
  • Support proposal development by creating compliant schedules for customer bids and new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate schedule updates across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and other functional organizations.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments, what-if analyses, and scenario planning to support program execution and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal scheduling processes and applicable customer or government contractual requirements.
  • Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), program audits, and customer schedule reviews as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement of scheduling processes, tools, and reporting methodologies.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 7+ years of program scheduling or project controls experience supporting complex engineering, manufacturing, or defense programs.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for multi-disciplinary programs.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6, or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling principles including critical path analysis, schedule risk management, baseline management, and earned value concepts.
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, electronics manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex schedules, identify risks, and communicate recommendations to technical and executive leadership.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting aggressive program deadlines.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and DoD program execution is a plus.
  • Experience supporting proposal development and customer schedule deliverables is preferred.
