Job description

This position is for a COMMAND PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST (TITLE 5), PD T5853000and is part of the JFHQ located in Draper UT, with the Utah National Guard.
Priority will be given to all current, onboard employees of the UTNG.
The selecting supervisor for this vacancy is COL JON D. RICHARDSON

Qualifications:

*Your resume must reflect in detail how the duties and responsibilities under each position you have held with each employer meets the below listed general and specialized experience required for the position.
**Must include beginning and ending dates of employment stated as MM/YYYY; and total hours worked per week in order to determine part time vs. full time credit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRMENTS:
Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At least 1 year of specialized experience at the GS-0301-09 level. *Must submit SF50 showing experience in occupational series 0301 to qualify*
OR
Have demonstrated experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.

Education:Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. if it provided knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
