Level 1 (Entry level up to 2 years of direct experience):ย $52,027 annually

Level II (3+ years of direct experience):ย ย $56,190 annually

Bilingual premium for qualifying languages is 3.5% higher than starting salary if pass bilingual exam on first week of hire.

Position Summary:

The Regional Health Access Program Manager is responsible for supervising Health Access Program Coordinators at all regional offices of CHN outside of the primary Denver office (Colorado Springs, Ft. Collins & Grand Junction) and may be tasked to supervise supportive staff that do not directly report to the Senior Health Access Program Manager or Health Access Program Director. ย 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide direct supervision and acts as Hiring Manager to Regional Health Access Program Coordinators outside of Denver
  • Assist in all aspects of program development, implementation, reporting, and evaluation with guidance from the Health Access Program Director & Senior Health Access Program Manager
  • Work with CDPHE/SDAP staff and Health Access Program Management in the development and implementation of programmatic goals, policies, and operational procedures
  • Work with Director and CHN Quality Team to monitor quality of programs including ongoing quality improvement efforts, program evaluation, and programmatic outcome measures designed for the health access program
  • Recommend innovative and alternative methods to improve processes
  • Manage client feedback, complaints, grievances, and appeals
  • Provides back up to staff regarding client issues and provides client services during peak open enrollment season and maintains a reduced ongoing caseload as necessary (not to exceed 25% of a Health Access Program Coordinator on an ongoing basis).
  • Work with Management and Team Lead to conduct trainings during staff transitions (onboarding, position changes, quality improvement processes)
  • Works with Health Access Program Management and Team Lead to identify and meet additional team training needs, goals, and priorities.
  • Meet all deadlines agreed upon with the Health Access Programs Director
  • Serve on relevant internal and external workgroups and coalitions as requested
  • Recruit and maintains high quality staff; conducts performance reviews; ensure appropriate and adequate staffing and scheduling
  • Set expectations of teamwork within and across departments
  • Assist staff to improve their skills and identify professional development needs with Director
  • Work with supervisors at co-located clinics to onboard CHN coordinators at respective clinic locationsย and manage relations between CHN and those clinics
  • Must be able to work in a diverse setting with diverse populations, including persons living with HIV, the LGBTQ+ community, persons of various ethnic backgrounds, disenfranchised communities.
  • Participation in training related to HIV, substance use, harm reduction, trauma informed care and related issues. Cultural Competency/Sensitivity.

Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience highly desired. Previous experience with and understanding of health insurance and public benefits (Medicare, Medicaid, employer, marketplace/off-market enrollment, and/or insurance billing processes). A strong preference for completion of Connect for Health training and at least one open enrollment season.ย  Experience with direct client contact and/or a customer service background. Background in programs rooted in serving People Living with HIV. Strong commitment to working within a diverse setting with diverse populations. Consistently seeking opportunities to improve ability to provide inclusive and trauma-informed approaches in client services. Ability to collaborate effectively with small and large teams within CHN regional offices.ย  Ability to prioritize workload and function independently. Training in cultural competency is preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Recruits and maintains high quality staff. Ensures appropriate and adequate staffing and scheduling. Sets expectations of teamwork within and across departments and models collaborative behavior. Understands and communicates CHN mission and values, along with relevant policies and procedures to staff members. Reviews quality of paperwork, data entry, session notes, and referrals. Assists staff to improve their skills and identify training and professional development needs.

Education:

Bachelors or Masterโ€™s Degree in Finance, Human Services, Social Work, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field required.ย 

Software Utilized:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams is required. Candidates should be comfortable working with client database systems and learning new software tools as needed.ย 

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

Knowledge of and sensitivity to HIV / AIDS challenges. Proficient in written and verbal communication. Highly organized and detail oriented. This position requires personal and professional accountability; self-management and initiative; dedication to quality improvement, professional integrity and cultural competency. Must demonstrate accuracy and efficiency. Must demonstrate effectiveness in the following areas: task management; teamwork; time management; and communication with teams, managers, clients, and funder/ contractors. Must have flexibility, creativity, collaborative, and a positive workplace attitude in a team dynamic. Requires strong critical thinking, active listening, and problem-solving skills to address complex situations. Previous experience in the delivery of evidenced-based programs is highly preferred, as well as excellent communication, client services, and data collection skills.ย  The appropriate person will be highly organized and detail-oriented.ย  This position requires personal and professional accountability; self-management and initiative; dedication to quality improvement; professional integrity; research ethics, and cultural competency.ย  Must demonstrate accuracy, efficiency and superior organizational skills.ย  Must demonstrate effectiveness in the following areas: task and time management; teamwork; and communication with teams, managers, clients and participants, and company consultants.

Material and Equipment Directly Used:

Works with computer workstations, laptops, servers, and standard office equipment. Works with software, including electronic health records, client/patient data systems, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software as well as with online systems. Communicates with partner organizations and vendors using telephone, e-mail, the Internet, and fax.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment. May travel via automobile or airplane to offsite locations or for CHN business. Must have and maintain a valid Colorado driverโ€™s license and auto insurance on personal vehicle. Works with standard office equipment including computer work station, printers, copiers, scanners and fax machine. Communicates with clients and vendors using the telephone, e-mail, the Internet, and fax.ย  Requires clear speaking ability and the ability to use a telephone for extended periods. Requires ability to view a computer screen (near acuity). Requires fingering agility for keyboarding.ย  The ability to sit, stand, and engage in extended periods of screen time or communication by phone is necessary to perform the essential duties of the role.ย
