Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Deal Review & Risk Analysts.

This is not a traditional employment role. Deal Review & Risk Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process.

Once approved, analysts:

  • Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

  • Gain access to real, paid deal review and risk analysis work

  • Support investors, fund managers, and operators by evaluating live transactions

  • Build a verified deal review and risk assessment track record and Analyst Rating Score

Analyst Levels & Pay RangesSenior Deal Review & Risk Analyst
  • Rating Score: 90–100

  • Pay: $150–200/hour

  • Typical Background:
    Former investment banking, private equity, venture capital, private credit, risk management, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of transaction and risk evaluation experience

Lead Deal Review & Risk Analyst
  • Rating Score: 80–89

  • Pay: $100–150/hour

  • Typical Background:
    Finance professionals with 3–5 years of deal analysis, underwriting, diligence, or risk assessment experience

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Depending on certification approvals, Deal Review & Risk Analysts may be engaged to:

Deal Review & Transaction Analysis
  • Review financial models for accuracy, assumptions, and internal consistency

  • Evaluate valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable companies, precedent transactions)

  • Review underwriting logic across private equity, venture, credit, and real asset deals

  • Assess sensitivity, downside, and stress-test scenarios

Risk Identification & Assessment
  • Identify key financial, operational, market, and structural risks

  • Assess leverage, liquidity, concentration, and downside exposure

  • Evaluate capital structure risks and covenant sensitivity

  • Highlight red flags and mitigation considerations

Due Diligence & Investment Support
  • Review Quality of Earnings (QoE) analyses and diligence findings

  • Evaluate commercial and operational diligence materials

  • Support investment memo development with risk-focused insights

  • Prepare structured risk summaries for investment committee review

Note: Analysts may only perform work in categories they are specifically approved for. Approvals are earned through assessment and demonstrated performance—not tenure.


How Analysts Start Earning
  1. Complete the Deal Review & Risk Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training

  2. Receive category-specific approvals (Deal Review, Risk Assessment, Valuation Review, Diligence Review)

  3. Get verified on the Initio Sphere platform

  4. Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live deal assignments

Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, you must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Certification Assessment

  • Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training

  • Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)


Analyst Rating Score

Each Deal Review & Risk Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

  • Platform visibility

  • Approved work categories

  • Recommended hourly rates

Scores are based on analytical rigor, risk judgment, clarity of insights, and compliance.


Compensation & Deal Terms
  • Analysts are independent contractors, not employees

  • Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level

  • Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

  • Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

  • Payments issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

  • Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues
