Moog Space and Defense Group provides sub-systems and components for every mission critical system on a modern military vehicle. Our heritage is in electrohydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems and now, through acquisitions and internal development of full Turreted Weapon Systems (TWS) solutions.
Our Space and Defense Group is looking for a Program Manager to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a cross-functional role that requires coordination between many different groups within and outside of Moog.
The Program Manager is responsible for leading multiple production or development initiatives, typically valued between $10 - $50 million. This role encompasses developing comprehensive plans for each assigned program and directing execution through Moog's functional departments to ensure fulfillment of contractual requirements, as well as achievement of performance and profitability objectives. Serving as the primary point of contact for the customer, the Program Manager manages all program-related communications, delivers required reports to both the client and Moog leadership, and coordinates internal updates to ensure alignment and transparency across the organization.
As a Program Manager, you will...
  • Lead technical programs from contract award, through final end item delivery, including support to sales and proposal efforts through fact finding and negotiations.
  • Oversee and manage tasks from engineering design, to qualification, and throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Use your technical background to understand and confirm that the requirements are interpreted and met throughout the program.
  • Ensure that the program plan, schedule, and costs meet both Moog and customer expectations.
  • Review and manage program costs and technical risks, presenting status and schedule of programs at monthly Program Management Reviews.

Here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Minimum of an BS Degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical area.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or related certification is preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant program management-related experience.
  • Experience with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and communicating program budgets, plans, and schedules to include critical program milestones for multiple programs in a portfolio.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and problems, which impact program performance, and in taking appropriate actions to resolve these issues and recover cost and schedule, in a timely manner.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the preparation and conduct of presentation materials for internal and customer meetings and reviews.
  • Leadership and management of cross-functional teams across disciplines ranging from contracts, engineering, quality, planning, procurement, fabrication, tool & test equipment, and assembly & test.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in understanding contractual requirements and scope adherence.
  • Some travel may be required from time to time.
  • Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Salary Range Transparency:
Salt Lake City, UT $110,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
