Job description

Alsana is a national leader in eating disorder treatment, offering a holistic, soul-hearted approach to recovery for adults and adolescents of all genders.

We exist to be a source of hope and healing, creating safe, nurturing spaces where individuals can cultivate the roots of their own recovery story.

As the Program Director at Alsana and under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, you will manage the operations of a specific program, including direct care staffing, milieu management, and client scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees operational aspect of assigned programs.
  • Works closely with Director of Clinical Services to manage clinical issues that affect the milieu and assists in implementing corrective actions.
  • Provides continuity and serves as liaison between treatment team, clients, and direct care staff.
  • Facilitates/cofacilitates groups as appropriate to licensure and scheduling needs.
  • Orients new clients to Alsana’s policies and procedures and welcomes new clients into community.
  • Executes discharge/transitions out of program and coordinates with appropriate parties to ensure a smooth transition to the next level of care.
  • Ensures new admissions are firmly integrated into the milieu within the first 24 hours.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Clinical Services, communicates treatment plan updates/attendance to UR.
  • Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or other relevant health related discipline preferred. Bachelors degree in a relevant field plus experience it would be acceptable.
  • Therapy license is preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership role and a minimum of 2+ years of recent experience related to eating disordered clients (preferred) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in the behavioral health industry.
