Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for Youth Care Workers at Sierra Sage Treatment Center in Yerington, Nevada 

Sierra Sage Treatment Center offers residential treatment for young women in a safe, supportive, nurturing environment. Through accredited education, vocational training and a normalized high school experience, our youth women are given the skills they need to overcome the effects of abuse, neglect, trauma substance abuse, mental illness and violence so they can make healthy choices for themselves and their futures.

Pay: Starting at 19.00 an hour. Schedule  may include 12 hours of  overtime each pay period. $500.00 Sign On Bonus. (at 6 months) $1000 Training Bonus (at 3 months)

What you will do: As a Night Youth Care Worker, you will provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program and provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the students. You will monitor and document student behaviors and activities, participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities, and work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan.

To be considered you should: Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect ~ Have a desire to work with troubled teens ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule: 3.5 days per week:

  • A shift – Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday ~ Wednesday-Friday 5:30pm to 7:30am and Saturday/Sunday 5:30pm – 12:30am.
  • B Shift – Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday ~ Saturday/Sunday 12:00am-7:30am and Sunday-Tuesday 5:30pm to 7:30am.
