The Academy Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and daily operations of a premier archery academy serving participants from beginners to elite level athletes. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality instruction, innovative programming, and exceptional customer experiences while driving growth through strategic partnerships and targeted marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Curriculum Management
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive archery curriculum for all skill levels, from introductory courses to high-performance training.
  • Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of programs, clinics, leagues, camps, and special events that meet the needs of varied clientele.
  • Ensure instructional quality, consistency, and alignment with industry best practices and competitive standards.

Operations & Staff Leadership
  • Oversee daily academy operations, including scheduling, facility usage, and program execution.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate academy coaches and staff to maintain a high standard of instruction and professionalism.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on athlete development and customer satisfaction.

Business Development & Relationship Management
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to expand the academy's reach.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, organizations, schools, clubs, and governing bodies.
  • Oversee maintenance and development of the department website.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to inform strategic decisions.

Marketing & Growth Initiatives
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns targeting key customer segments.
  • Support promotional efforts through program positioning, content input, and community engagement.
  • Assist in brand development and positioning of the academy as a leader in archery education and training.

Quality Assurance & Customer Experience
  • Ensure all programs deliver a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for participants.
  • Gather and analyze feedback to improve offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications:
• Background in sports program management or recreation leadership
  • 2-4 years proven leadership and staff management experience.
  • Strong organizational and program development skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with marketing and business development.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Passion for growing the sport of archery and developing athletes at all levels.
