Intern - Sales

Are you looking for an opportunity to intern at a great organization this summer? Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT is seeking several interns in a variety of disciplines to join their team to experience an environment enriched with collaboration and learning. The internship will include a robust onboarding program, provide opportunities for professional growth with challenging assignments, an opportunity to give back to the community with a volunteer day, and will encourage interns to participate in a collaborative project with their intern peers. Individuals that will be an ideal fit for Kamatics are motivated, dependable, and seeking to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Summer 2026 internship program will begin on June 1st and run approximately 10 to 12 weeks, with anticipated end dates of August 14th or August 28th depending on availability. Interns will be expected to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; work hours may be flexible.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Customer Account Management Team with quoting and proposal support activities, including:

  • Support the end-to-end quoting process for key customers by gathering requirements, confirming scope, and coordinating inputs needed to build accurate, timely quotes.
  • Prepare and format quote packages and supporting documentation (spreadsheets, pricing summaries, cover letters, and presentations) to ensure consistency, completeness, and on-time submission.
  • Research historical data, prior quotes, and available cost/market information to support pricing recommendations and quote rationale.
  • Follow up internally to collect required technical and operational inputs (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Contract Review) and help remove bottlenecks that delay quote release.
  • Respond to internal requests for quote status, clarify data needs, and escalate issues to supervision when needed to meet deadlines.
  • Help drive progress toward the department-wide quote goal by supporting prioritization and timely completion of assigned quoting tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quoting workflows, templates, and standard work; contribute to continuous improvement/5S activities within the team.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
  • Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to a positive teamwork environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Accomplish related results as needed.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business Management, Marketing, or other related field.

Experience:

  • Entry level position. Related internships or co-ops are a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • 6 months office experience preferred

Physical Requirements: Office environment with the occasional exposure to the shop floor with aerospace manufacturing machinery and chemicals, along with the ability to lift light parts, up to 20 pounds. The ability to use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed shoes may be required when on the shop floor. The ability to walk distances including the use of stairs is also desired.
