The YMCA of Greater New York Association Office is seeking a Fund Development Intern to support the Development team in executing fundraising events, advancing donor engagement and stewardship, and strengthening institutional fundraising pipelines through research and data management.
This internship will run from June 8, 2026, through July 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and execution of a variety of Fund Development cultivation events, including our major summer fundraising event, Golf & Gala.
  • Assist with Gala & Golf materials, including auction website setup, item tracking, and production of event collateral.
  • Provide general event staffing and day-of support across Development-led events.
  • Research institutional funders and support pipeline Development efforts.
  • Assist with donor stewardship activities, including the creation of outreach materials and tracking engagement.
  • Support Salesforce data entry, cleanup, and reporting to ensure accurate donor records.
  • Provide administrative and project-based support as needed across the Development team.ย 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong writing, communication, and research skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and comfortable working with both internal and external contacts.
