Job description

Tectonic, a multi-disciplined professional engineering firm, is currently seeking a Business Development / Marketing Intern for Summer 2026! This position offers excellent opportunity for professional growth and development!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions include assisting with the preparation of proposals, statements of qualifications, and associated marketing materials for professional services, which includes working closely with technical staff to translate technical concepts into written and graphic materials to ensure that all criteria are met. The BD Intern will also assist with preparing marketing collateral, and other related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently pursuing a BS Degree or equivalent in Communications, Business/Marketing, Graphic Design, English, Literature, or similar;
  • Knowledge of graphics programs and/or graphics experience is preferred;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign;
  • Excellent planning, writing, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail;
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to multi-task in a demanding atmosphere.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the candidate must be able to constantly assume a stationary position, and must handle and/or feel documents, materials, and/or equipment to perform necessary tasks, sometimes repetitively. The candidate must be able to occasionally maneuver within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and may exert up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally. Constantly, they must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others via the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and in person.
