Job description

Timbers Company is seeking an experienced Development Director to lead luxury real estate projects from concept through completion. In this role, you'll shape high-end destinations, guide cross-functional teams, and influence the creation of iconic boutique hotels, residence clubs, and resort communities.
What You'll Do
  • Lead full-cycle development: site selection, due diligence, land assemblage, acquisition, feasibility, planning, entitlements, and permitting.
  • Oversee professional services: secure bids, negotiate contracts, and manage architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Support financial modeling and pro forma development.
  • Manage proposals, bids, and solicitation materials.
  • Conduct site visits, market research, and due diligence.
  • Prepare debt and equity financing applications and closing documentation.
  • Coordinate construction administration and document flow.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership, investors, and government partners.
  • Collaborate with property management and sales teams during development and transition phases.
  • Support business development, staff training, and recruitment.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred: real estate, urban planning, architecture, business, finance).
  • 7+ years of progressive real estate development experience; ground-up experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Knowledge of land use, zoning, and entitlement processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and solutions-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
